This website is the result of an amalgamation of my own and others ideas towards a beast that is imposed on all of us, and that shapes our thoughts, actions and beliefs - that is, culture.

My name is Leo Gleeson-Thornton (direct relative of famous economist Henry Thornton). However, I am independent and do not hold an agenda for any authority. In fact, what both has motivated me to write, and what allows me to state that this blog is truly independent, is that it has not been financed by any outside party. Thus, I can assure that I do not hold any agenda, and this blog has not been edited, directed or censored by any paying party.

This blog on the contrary, in principle covers counter-cultural topics, thoughts and movements, which I hope you find to be helpful and empowering, as very often I find these these thoughts and movements are the antitheses of doctrines driven by mainstream media, institutions and authority.

I encourage comments and discussion. I am an independent, academic and a fiction and non-fiction writer. As to my credentials I am an economist with an economics degree.

​This blog is the product of hard-work and is for free, as I believe the best things in life often are.

I am sad given some of the topics this blog covers that it is bereft of expletives, but the aim is most certainly to cut through the modern nonsense being given to people by modern authorities. Though we are not living in a very poetic time, this blog is at least fresh with poetry written by me and others.
